Common Misconceptions With Online Appointments
Online is a not as good as face to face because you can’t touch me
A major part of your recovery is finding out and understanding what is going on and what you can do about it. This is done in our assessments where we listen to your story and ask you certain questions to establish a history. The most effective part of the treatment is where we teach you about your problem and provide you with the right exercises and make a plan going forwards. All of this can be done online just as effectively.
I’d rather wait till I can come in face to face
with the current situation and the nature of our work this could be several weeks or longer; that’s more time worrying about your problem and not enjoying gardening or being able to get outdoors for a walk or run. The most common reason we hear from people for not doing their exercises or not seeking help for their problem is they haven’t got time. Many of us have had the gift of time recently thrust upon us, so why not use that time wisely to solve your problem.
I’m not very good with technology
we mainly use Zoom or Facetime to do our online appointments these are free to download you just need an email address to sign up to them. We send you a link via email, you just need to click on the link to access your appointment. To join the appointment you just need a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and enough room to move around – It’s as simple as that.
If you’re interested in our online appointment service and would like to know more, see our Online Appointment FAQs or get in touch with us via our contact form.
